What's on the card
A horseman wearing a laurel wreath sits on a white horse, and his wand is crowned with a wreath too. People on foot walk around him with raised wands, as in a victory parade.
Six of Wands upright
The Six of Wands is success other people can see: the project is approved, the contest is won, the work gets noticed. The card says your effort paid off and you can show it openly. Recognition adds strength, and false modesty only gets in the way. If you're praised in a meeting, just say thank you and name your next goal.
Six of Wands reversed
The result is there, but there's no applause, or the praise went to someone else. It can also go the other way: success goes to your head and you stop hearing the team. Write down what you achieved this month and decide for yourself what it's worth.
Six of Wands in love and relationships
The relationship can be a source of pride: the two of you show your feelings openly, and friends are happy for you. Someone single draws attention through confidence. When you meet new people, talk about what you're good at without playing it down.
Six of Wands in career and money
Time to collect the rewards: good feedback, a promotion, a successful presentation. Show your results to decision makers, with numbers. Thank the people who worked alongside you in the team chat, it makes the team stronger.
Six of Wands: yes or no
Yes Your success will be noticed. Show the result openly and accept praise without excuses.
Reversed. No Not in this form: outside recognition may not come this time. Check whether you want this without the applause, and decide from there.
Six of Wands as your card of the day
People are noticing your work. Tell your manager or friends about the result and take the praise without explaining it away.
Reversed. Recognition is late, and that hurts. Your work isn't any worse for it. List three results from the past few weeks and show one to someone whose opinion matters to you.
A question for the evening: What can I give myself credit for today?
Descriptions follow the classic 1909 Waite–Smith deck. Card meanings help you think a situation through and don't replace advice from a doctor, lawyer or financial adviser.
