What's on the card

A stout man sits on a bench with his arms folded, looking pleased with himself. Behind him nine cups stand on a curved shelf draped in blue cloth.

Nine of Cups upright

The Nine of Cups is known as the wish card: what you wanted is coming true or is close. It speaks of satisfaction, comfort and knowing how to enjoy yourself. This is a moment to allow yourself some pleasure without guilt. If you got through a hard month at work, mark it: pick an evening, a good meal or something you've wanted to buy for a while.

Nine of Cups reversed

The wish came true but brings less joy than expected, or there's simply too much indulgence. Smugness hides what's still missing. Ask yourself which wish was truly yours and which one came from other people.

Nine of Cups in love and relationships

For a couple this is contentment and gratitude toward each other. If you're single, the card points to a good mood that draws people in. Say plainly what you want from a relationship: the odds of a yes are high right now.

Nine of Cups in career and money

Work is satisfying, and your goals are reached or within reach. It's a good time to ask for what you've wanted for a while: a project, a schedule, recognition. Put one work wish into a single sentence and raise it at your next meeting.

Nine of Cups: yes or no

Yes Yes, this is the wish card. Name the wish in one concrete sentence and take one step toward it.

Reversed. Maybe The wish may come true differently than you expect. Work out what you really want and put it in one sentence.

Ask a yes or no question

Nine of Cups as your card of the day

A wish is coming true or is close. Let yourself enjoy it: do something nice today and thank whoever helped.

Reversed. You got what you wanted, but it brings less joy than you expected. Maybe you wanted something else. Ask yourself what you really want and write down the first answer.

A question for the evening: Which wish came true today, even a small one?
